INTERMEDIATE/SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Suited to a motivated individual with at least three years of Chartered Accountancy experience wanting to take the next step in their career.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside an experienced and supportive team to deliver excellent levels of service to a broad range of clients

  • Preparation/compilation of annual Financial Statements and Tax Returns, including Not for Profit, Trusts, Companies and interrelated entities

  • The role will also involve providing business advisory, IRD compliance, payroll and GST service

  • You will be exposed hands-on to a variety of interesting compliance and management accounting responsibilities, as well as the opportunity to be involved in special project work

ATTRIBUTES

  • You will pride yourself in a high level of client service delivery and ability to maintain good client relationships

  • 3+ years of experience in a Chartered Accountancy practice with a high level of competency in the preparation/compilation of annual Financial Statements and Tax Returns, including Not for Profit, Trusts, Companies and interrelated entities

  • Experience managing your workflow and the ability to become a team resource whilst providing support and assistance to others

  • Excellent communication skills both with our team and clients

  • Some experience in the rural sector is preferred (kiwifruit and/or livestock)

  • A strong depth of knowledge of the NZ tax system

  • Advanced computer literacy levels, with current working knowledge of Xero Accounting Software, XPM, Xero Workpapers, Excel and other industry standard SME accounting software

  • Outstanding general skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy

  • A desire to be a team player with an interest in career progression, plus long and rewarding client relationships

  • The ability to maintain great working relationships
