Te Puke Business Awards
Our team recently celebrated the success of local Te Puke businesses at the Te Puke Business Excellence Awards held on the 26 October at the Te Puke War Memorial Hall and included former NZ rugby sevens coach Sir Gordon Tietjens as the guest speaker.
The evening was a great way to showcase the excellent businesses we have in Te Puke, the success and innovation of the region was really highlighted when it came to putting their businesses on the line to be judged. Judging was also not a simple process, each nominated business was successful in its own right and had a unique point of difference.
This years' Bennetts Proactive Supreme Award was Jellicoe Industrial Park (John & Warren Dohnt) who also took out the Ag/Hort/Industrial Award.
Other winners were: Retail Award – Street to Surf Clothing; Food & Beverage Award – The Daily Café; Service Award – Dobsons; Emerging Business Award – Kansai Sushi; and the Te Puke Employee of the Year Award – Jenny Wotton.
Commendations went to Taryn Komene from Tony’s Kebabs and Pizzas, Archway Group, Mitre 10, Pongakawa Service Centre, Tarnix Security and Marigold Cafe.
